Mary K. Affeldt, BS, MS
Over the past 30 years Mary has served in several management engagements, leading operations and organizational change and development. Her career in public service culminated in an industry and government award-winning tenure in the Senior Executive Service. She brings expertise and innovation gained from working with and leading billion dollar organizations. Mary has been recognized by industry and government entities as an expert in human resources and organizational development. In her 20+ year career with the multidisciplinary biomedical science organization of NIH she has managed Institutional and enterprise-level successes in the areas of human resources, information technology, health and safety, program management, and logistics and acquisitions. Having served on more than 30 committees and workgroups, including the VA and NIH SES Performance Review Boards, NIH Consolidated Operations Acquisitions Center, NIH Change Management, NIH Leadership Development Governance Board, and Chairing /Co-Chairing more than a half dozen in this $30+ billion organization. Mary holds a BS in Business Administration in Health Care from Columbia Union College, as well as an MS in Management from the University of Maryland. She has earned dozens of awards in government and industry such as Program Manager of the Year from the IPMA, Commendation from the Secretary of the VA, and numerous NIH Director’s Awards to name but a few. Mary serves as chief executive officer and provides company management for mPower as well as executive advisory services for mPower clients.
Lynn C. Hellinger, BA, IPMA-CP
For more than three decades Lynn has provided leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of human resources, organizational development, ethics, logistics and acquisitions, and financial management. Most recently Lynn served in the Senior Executive Service at the NIH where her successes earned her numerous awards and industry recognition, to including numerous Directors Awards, the Distinguished Service Award for the Biodefense Research Team, and the prestigious Senior Executive Service Presidential Meritorious Rank Award and Honorary Lifetime Membership Award with the International Public Management Association. Lynn has led many successful engagements in complex and mission-critical environments, with budget management at $4 billion. She is a proven and valued mentor in all areas of management and administration, highly sought after for her subject matter expertise and objective leadership, with major achievements in taskforce and workgroup efforts in areas such as IT services and modernization, organization development, ethics, policy analysis, A76 studies, procurement, and executive leadership. Lynn holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology, with a minor in Statistics from the University of Michigan and is a certified professional in human resources by the IPMA. Lynn serves as executive vice president for mPower and provides human capital management expertise, client management services for mPower as well as executive advisory services for mPower clients.
